The Test Laboratory accomplishes tests of all incoming in Alcomet AD raw materials, fulfills preventive control of the technological process, takes complete tests of ready products and performs repair works, adjustments, check ups of all measurement devices.
It is equipped with modern devices, ensuring high accuracy, rapidity and correctness of the performed tests. Chemical, spectral chemical, physics chemical and metallography methods are used and linear-angle measurements are made.
The Laboratory accomplishes tests of: aluminum and aluminium alloys; aluminium products-extrusions and rolling, ferrous metals and their alloys, copper and iron based billets, materials for extrusion anodizing, paper, lacquers, inks, glues, oils, mazut, waste waters, hazardous chemicals. Protocols for the test accomplished are issued.

Physics
and Mechanical laboratories – take mechanical tests for the following
indexes: tensile strength, yield point, elongation, hardness by Brinel,
Rokvel and Vikers, variable bending of sheets, tests according to Erikson
method.
Metallography
laboratory- carries out tests for the following indexes:
-micro
analysis of aluminum and aluminium alloys concerning cracks, porosity, НМB,
grain size-ball, hollows, accumulations, light crystal marks, non-density of
the wielding-for hollow pipes and profiles.
-micro
analysis of aluminum and aluminium alloys concerning HBM, grain size, overheating
layer thickness, measurement of micro hardness.
-estimation of microstructure of steels and cast irons
-determination of grain size-ball, micro hardness, porosity, HMB of billets
and other non-ferrous metals.
Spectral
chemical laboratory – makes tests for determination of the chemical
composition of aluminum and aluminium alloys, other metals and alloys,
liquid samples.
Express laboratory-carries out express tests for determination of the chemical composition of aluminum and aluminium alloys in Alcomet Casting shop.
Laboratory for chemical tests-carries out tests for determination of the chemical composition of metals and alloys, measurements of the working environment parameters, tests of anodizing solutions, thickness determination of the of the anodizing-oxide layer of aluminium profiles, quality estimation of anodizing-oxide layer.
Physics and chemical laboratory-carries out tests of petrol products, oils and fuels, paper, glues, o ils, organic solvents, processed foil, degreasing solutions, solutions for galvanic covers, waste and softened waters, active sediment in biological-pool.
Laboratory
for linear angle measurements:
- takes measurements of the following indexes-linear
sizes on coordinate X-from 0 to 200 mm and on coordinate Y- from 0 to 100
mm ;angles from 0 to 360 degrees; parameters for roughness (Ra,Rz,Rm)
- completes the following activities: maintenance of the measurement and test
devices, adjustments and check ups of measurement equipment, implementation
of new devices, listing and metrology back up of the equipment.
