Electrochemical
anodizing of aluminium and its alloys is a process by which a transparent
oxide layer with thickness of 0.005 - 0.02 mm is formed on the product.
In Alcomet this process is carried out on a computer-controlled automatic
line through GS method. The oxide layer is characterized with high hardness,
decorative appearance and corrosion resistance. The following surface colors
can be attained, depending on the duration of the process: silver, golden,
light or dark bronze, brown, black and their shades.
